In the News
January is a great time for planning for the rest of the year - the annual Direct to Consumer Wine Symposium is a great source of information for wineries looking to beef up their direct to consumer programs. This year's Symposium will be held in San Francisco at The Stanford Court Hotel on Thursday, January 19th and it will include a Wednesday evening program for those attendees coming into the city the night before - enjoy networking with other industry professionals as well as attend a presentation by Vineet Buch: There is also winery video contest and the results from a benchmarking survey created for the Symposium will be presented, so don't miss the opportunity to attend! Tip of the Month
Use Twitter to find wine lovers: If you aren't already on Twitter, sign up! If you are already on Twitter, you should be using the platform to search out people interested in wine in general and your wine specifically. There are dozens of communities out there talking about wine every day, so do some research and find some groups to join and start posting. There are several tools out there that allow you to monitor feeds - I personally like TweekDeck. You can easily add and delete search columns and it will let you know whenever you have been mentioned. Twitter is something you can do today to begin to get your message out there, so make the most of it!
